Alison completes Requalification at Rospa !
Alison Meadows the MD and level 4 moving and handling trainer at AMTD has just completed a requalification course at ROSPA .
The course was a two-day course at the ROSPA training centre in Birmingham and was an update for the Level 4 qualification that Alison achieved in June 2013.
” This requalification was quite a commitment in terms of time and money” says Alison ” but I am committed to ensuring that the information I pass onto students on our 3 day Instructors course is current in terms of best practice and legislation”
AMTD is a member of ROSPA the UK’s leading safety organisation and the National Back Exchange which is a not-for-profit association set up to develop, disseminate and promote evidence-based best practice relating to manual handling activities.
During the ROSPA requalification course Alison had the opportunity to review new practices and equipment at the training centre and work with people from a variety of care organisations.
Alison attends conferences, training days and courses to ensure that her knowledge and skills are constantly refreshed, updated and relevant to a range of potential customers.
Alison is a Registered Nurse with a specialst Orthopeadic qualification, she has a Business Degree and is a qualified teacher and trainer. She is available to train in your organisation or can train key people in your organisation to be Safer Moving and Handling Instructors themselves.
The delegates that attend the Instructors course are often Managers or seniors with a Manual Handling remit to their position. They are from Domicillairy care agencies, Residential care homes and occasionally other training companies! We get fantastic feedback from our students in fact there is a google review available from an Operations Manager at a Care Agency in Preston that says it all!
If you would like to talk to Alison about any Manual Handling issues.
