Writing care notes and Record keeping
Aims
To support all care staff ,supervisors, registered nurses and managers to be compliant with the requirements of the data protection act 1998, the requirements of CQC and the organisation’s policies and procedures
The courses are delivered by a registered nurse experienced in care home management
Duration and Format
This course comprises 4 guided learning hours. The course is supported by power point, activities, scenario based learning and tutor led teaching.
Course Content
On completion of this training students will be able to :
- Explain different types of records- relate to work place
- Understand organisations record keeping policies
- Understand the legislation that governs record keeping and how to remain compliant
- Demonstrate the principles of good record keeping
- For registered nurses- understand the requirements of the NMC and discover sanctions for poor record keeping
- For managers and supervisors- understand the requirements of the CQC

Students will at the start of the course receive programme materials
