"After serving as an operational Firefighter for 29 years I moved into First Aid / Fire training. This background of working with people, often in distressing circumstances, allied with the skills I acquired throughout my service, reinforce how valuable good training is in saving lives. These experiences now give me the ability to pass on this knowledge in an enjoyable and rewarding way."

Having worked for many years as a qualified nurse specialising in Orthopaedics and Spinal Injuries I qualified as a teacher in 2002 and worked in the adult sector delivering a variety of Public service and Public sector programmes. I established AMTD in 2007 to deliver high quality First Aid and Moving and Handling training. We work with awarding organisations to ensure quality of provision for our customers who range from Industry to the Care sector, Schools and Colleges. I am proud of the reputation and relationships we have built and pledge our commitment to continuing to provide good value quality training. Our delegates tell us they enjoy the training and feel confident to use their new skills !

What our customers say about us:

We will continue to use the services of AMTD following the lockdown as they fully understand the business needs and have first-hand first aid and nursing experience. I have no concerns returning to face to face training following the lockdown as the AMTD team are thorough in their taught courses and I am confident this will also be reflected in their COVID19 risk assessments by ensuring all safety measures have been addressed allowing their courses to be delivered in a COVID19 safe environment.

They have always communicated with ourselves in a timely manner and have adapted and tailored the delivery of the courses to meet the specific needs of our businesses. Many other companies we have used historically have not been able to do this.

The ladies who deliver the first aid courses are knowledgeable and are able to hold the audience attention throughout the day. I myself am a registered health professional and thoroughly enjoy the content and the delivery of the courses.  I am confident they fully understand the information they are delivering, this is why we will continue to use them for all future first aid training.

Keep up the good work.
